Melinda Ohnstad
Mortgage Loan Originator
About
I started in the mortgage industry in 1983 answering the phone and quickly moved into the loan department. Since that time, I’ve worked in many different capacities from management to sales, and most recently as a wholesale account executive. I’m excited to take on a new role as a licensed loan officer assistant, which will also give me the ability to originate loans.
It’s always a joy to help customers realize their dream of homeownership and I look forward to being part of a team that makes this happen. Should a borrower choose to work with me they’ll soon discover that I work for a stellar company with a primary focus on customer experience. This is not a motto, it’s a culture and part of why I chose to work for Silverton. As a dedicated employee, my first responsibility will always be as an advocate for the customer. As a borrower, you can expect clear and concise communication, dedication, and a drive to get you to the closing table on time.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, camping, and going to the beach. I also like my husband’s cooking, watching movies, and exploring the craft beer scene, and rooting for Bama football. I’m also active in my church. Together, my husband and I have a 24-year-old son and a sweet brindle dog named Lola.
