Matt Reid, IT File Support Analyst/Trainer

Switching to virtual training was not an easy task, since Matt likes in-person interaction. It was also a challenge at times to keep everyone engaged — but he took it on and delivered. Not only was Matt adjusting to virtual training, but he and his wife, Paige, were also getting used to having little ones being in the house (as they had recently fostered two children and are now expecting another child due in September 2021). If virtual training, having children in the house, and pregnancy were not enough, Matt also put in very long hours to help complete an important project where he and his team members exceeded expectations. Matt loves his job and is very dedicated to Silverton.

Damon Hammond, IT File Support Analyst/Training

Damon transferred to the Implementation Team as an IT File Support Analyst-Trainer in March of 2020. He goes above and beyond when it comes to responding to issues. Not only does he respond to each ticket, but he will also reach out to the user personally to understand their issues and teach them how to fix the problem. If the problem needs to be escalated, he does an amazing job writing up a detailed description of the issue along with screenshots.

When Damon receives a thank you, he always responds with “my pleasure.”. No wonder Damon is a leader in his role! In December 2020, we had a file support member transfer to another department and Damon has really had to take on a lot more responsibility. Unsurprisingly, he has risen to the challenge with a smile. Not only is Damon on file support, but he is also a concierge for the first 30 days after a new Mortgage Loan Originator starts with Silverton Mortgage. This means that he makes sure they have the help they need to be successful. Damon is a huge asset to the Implementation team.

Ben Griffin, IT Specialist

Although Ben has only been with Silverton Mortgage for less than a year, he has already stepped up in a big way. He was willing and eager to take on a new, large part of the Silverton Mortgage workflow and knocked it out of the park. The IT department is lucky to have him.

Tricia McCarthy, Processing Team Lead

A former Loan Originator, Tricia understands the service aspect of this industry, which is not only a benefit to our borrowers, but our Loan Originators as well. Before she was promoted to Team Lead, she acted as an excellent point person if you needed help on something. She challenges the status quo and communicates very well with customers on a daily basis.

Tina Mason, Compliance & QC Specialist

Tina is considered the “mother” of the group as she always wants to make sure everyone is on the same page when auditing. She believes in an effective team structure and does her best to ensure that no one is left behind. We appreciate all she does!

Macy Werner, Payroll Analyst

Macy joined the Human Resources department over a year ago as an HR Administrator and quickly became a special part of our team. Not only are her analytic skills amazing, but we also appreciate her understanding of teamwork and how she embraces this with humility and open-mindedness. Macy is quick to volunteer and lend her humor, kindness, and creativity to our team events and discussions.

She conquered learning our software and has grown tremendously in her understanding of mortgages. We have learned that Macy is swift to hold her team accountable to ensure that all of payroll is correct each time and, in partnership with Clayton, she has led the way to streamline and fine-tune the payroll process.

Macy is excited every day to do her job and it shows in her attitude. She understands that each payroll question she gets is important, and if you ask Macy a question, you can be sure you will get a prompt, clear reply.

JoAnn Hudgens, Closing Team Lead

Not only does JoAnn help facilitate with the follow-through and assistance that it takes to resolve issues, but she also provides suggestions for the implementation of new processes to maximize our accuracy. JoAnn’s leadership and skill have helped streamline our department. A big thank you to JoAnn Hudgens for happily accepting such a daunting task.

Devin Sinclair, Secondary Marketing Trader II

With all the market challenges handed to Secondary and the Lock Desk this past year, Devin demonstrated leadership and prioritization for his team while also supporting the needs of both Capital Markets Execution and the needs of Sales. He stayed humble through it all and was focused on what needed to be done!
