Welcome to the Silverton Homeownership and Finance Center

This center was created to service the varying housing needs of the citizens in the metro Atlanta area by offering homeownership workshops on acquiring, retaining, and maintaining a home. In addition, the center will offer ongoing financial education aimed at improving financial wellness. Silverton Mortgage partners with Foundations Empowerment, Inc., a non-profit that provides education, support, and resources to guide families along their pathway to financial independence and homeownership.

Since opening its doors in Atlanta in 1998, Silverton’s mission has included a strong commitment to supporting its communities. Silverton’s community lending division continues to expand solutions for potential homeowners who may not fit the traditional mortgage profile by offering down payment assistance programs in eight states, as well as flexible mortgage programs such as FHA, VA, USDA, and 100% financing options. These programs feature low or no down payments, flexible qualifications and savings opportunities that can help turn the dream of homeownership into a reality for more people.

Terri Madden, National Director of Community Lending, says of the partnership, “As we continue to seek solutions to the affordable homeownership crisis, collaborative partnerships between public and private sectors such as these are critical. Buying a home can be overwhelming, however, everyone desiring to do so should have the opportunity to thrive in affordable communities. Providing resources for preparation and sustainability of homeownership is how we all succeed. It’s more than a loan closing; it’s changing lives and building successful communities.
